Hey there Oppo, I've been working hard on college apps and finishing up the semester lately, and that got me thinking, especially after the introduction explosion, where did the members of Oppo go to college?
Also, if you took a gap year; either before, during or after college, please share more about that.
Final note: my secret Senna might receive his present a couple days late because I'm hunched over my computer busting out an essay an hour to try and get into college, but it's pretty darn awesome.

Small lib arts univ. in Washington.
And regarding gap year- I'd recommend it - I didn't take any gaps in school, but my stepdaughter took one between hi school and college - gave her a chance to be out of school, work a little, reflect a bit.

St. Mary's College of Maryland as an economics major. It's a public honors liberal arts college, one of very few. Currently I am a sophomore, but I am taking a semester off to go home and load up on cheap credits at CC. This way when I return next fall I will be a Senior and end up graduating in three years. I would recommend that you take APs and once in college take CLEP exams. This will save you a great deal of money and help you get out faster. Best of luck, college applications can be quite tedious.

Texas A&M
Awesome if you're into animals, engineering, agriculture, or sciences. Adequate for the rest. Amazing student body, very much a college town. I loved it.

I'm at NVCC for auto tech stuff. Its a lot cheaper than going to a trade school. Plus I get an Associates degree instead of a certification!

High school and College counselors are worthless. I had my high school counselor spend my entire senior year of high school telling me to go to community college because that was the best option for me. Go someplace you'll be happy, and its a bonus if its a good school.

Thanks for the advice! CC for a bit sounds like a great idea, just to knock out those silly prerequisites that don't really change much from college to college.

University of Puget sound. It's baller. Graduated in May of this year. Amazing school and education but a tad expensive... Though it you can get some good scholarships (and there are plenty to be had) then it may be worth the look!

Purdue, for Mechanical Engineering. Can't promise the same football experience as the Texas A&M folks... but a great school.

All the colleges on my list are my dream schools and I'd happily go to any one of them. My school has had 4 guidance counselors in the past 2 or 3 years. I've stopped caring about what they say

Baylor University.
I got sick in the middle of college and had to take time off, but it wasn't the pleasant kind of time off. Consequently, I took way too long to graduate, but at least I ended up a double major! Also, lol football. We don't suck!
